East West Independent believe that a company is as strong as it’s foundations. We also believe that leadership is about the example one sets. Hence, you can’t ask someone to do something that you can’t do or are not willing to do. As such every day, our management members personally teach the newest people in our business all the fundamental knowledge they need to come in and succeed wildly. All of our management members have been trained from a sales level. Meaning that our newest people can benefit from years of first-hand experience and advice. Furthermore creating a culture where people share information and thrive by working together and helping each other.

We encourage change within others, we aspire to develop people and see them flourish and grow strong. Many of our managers had no experience when they started and as such we firmly believe that we don’t have to look for experience now as we continue to expand and grow. We provide on the job training, both theoretical and practical, and tailor our learning to meet individual specific learning capabilities; fast or slow, complex or basic, confident or shy. Consequently, if the individual has a desire to develop, we will match their effort towards that.

A motivated office is a productive one. We strive to harbor a great environment for talent to flourish. East West Independent has office building nights once or twice a week.  These range from go-karting to bowling — we hold weekly competitions, we offer massive financial incentives for hitting targets, we evaluate performance weekly and if someone is struggling, get them paired up with our best people to learn and develop beside someone who has mastered that skill. Moreover, our office gets to go to business seminars once a month to develop to build their knowledge of our industry.

With both directors of East West Independent having worked in the UK and Italy, they believe that travel broadens the mind. With this in mind, every month there are opportunities to travel within the USA. There is also the chance to travel internationally, with our clients being represented in diverse markets such as the USA, Australia, South America, Canada, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Ireland. All of our travel opportunities are over subscribed so we have policies of ‘No seniority’ and ‘100% performance based’ to ensure that those who are most deserving get their recognition, regardless of age, gender, length of time in the company or what their background is. Competition helps drive people. It encourages others to push themselves beyond the limit so we have a competitive environment that brings the best out in people.
